Patent Trend Analytics
Using patent mining software, Metrics produces
a variety of tables, charts, and graphs that analyze trends in patenting (patent
trend analytics differ from patent citation analytics in that trend analytics
do not involve the analysis of citation relationships).
The figures below are just two examples of the types of trend analytics Metrics
produces. The first figure, Fuel Cell Patenting Players, shows a distribution
of Fuel Cell patents broken down by the category describing the duration of
